Opie Gone Bad plays Red Rocks August 24th, and we're auctioning a song for charity.
Would you like to play a song at Red Rocks? On August 24th Opie Gone Bad, in association with Amber Homes and Blacktie-Colorado.com presents a night at Red Rocks with a performance by Opie Gone Bad and a showing of the film “Old School” to raise money for the Denver Police Activities League, and auctions an opportunity to play a song of your choice onstage at the world’s greatest concert venue with “Opie” backing up the winner of the auction.
On August 24th, Denver band Opie Gone Bad will perform at Red Rocks Amphitheater as an extension of the ‘Film On The Rocks’ series before the comedy classic “Old School’ is shown. Amber Homes has underwritten the event, and 100% of the profits will go to the Denver Police Activities League, a 501c3 organization that runs athletic programs and other activities for inner-city youth.
The Band will also auction off an opportunity for the highest bidder to perform a song onstage at Red Rocks the night of the show backed by Opie Gone Bad. The auction is open and will take place on www.blacktie-colorado.com/auctions and runs through August 14th. The auction winner can be a vocalist or an instrumentalist, and Opie Gone Bad will learn a song of the winner’s choosing. Details can be found at www.blacktie-colorado.com/auctions.
Tickets are $8 in advance or $10 day-of-show. They are available at King Soopers and the Red Rocks online box office.
